Lines 1-3 were a real struggle with very poor scent, though during line 3 Alice got thrown out of the hunt early on and then hunted my line on her own, speaking really well. She was last in by several minutes but her and Bramble, 1st and last in, provided the best hunting of that line. Some cry during the 1st 3 lines but not so much. The end of line 3 at Shap yesterday, a cracking hunt, quite long and the pack stayed together throughout, with some great music too. Alan quarried up the fell then swung north and across, hounds "catching" their quarry at this rocky outcrop. Hounds hunted really well throughout the day and though the wind made it difficult to hear cry, we still enjoyed some superb houndwork and music.
